Wholehearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough.
Brene Brown

The principles of ‘whole-hearted living’ developed by researcher/ psychologist Brene Brown is a guide book for walking through life with the life skills of compassion, grace, bravery, and unconditional love.
Ultimately, forming the foundation for a guidepost into living a successful life.
In her research, Brene found that the individuals who seemingly “had it all” where people who embraced their imperfections. Which might feel really unfamiliar for some people.
In many ways, how we go about orchestrating our lives can feel completely opposite to that. We live our lives always buzzing around trying to impress someone new. This can go back to a simple analogy of ‘self-advertising.’ Many individuals who are looking for self-improvement are typically the ‘entrepreneurial’ type, who are driven by change, motivation, and cooperation. Entrepreneurs are actively seeking to be driven by something new and to show their success to the world.
However –
“Impressing” vs. “Expressing” are two completely different ways of interacting in the world.
For instance, impressing says “I am not good enough – therefore, I need to impress this person by not being authentic to who I am.”
Expressing says, “I am confident, out-spoken and willing to express my passions without fear of rejection.”
People who are driven by the image of success aren’t really placing their time, energy, and resources in the right basket. In wholehearted living, ideas of success are formulated about the feelings they experience – not the way success looks.
The feeling of success is a continuum of maturity. It is the ability to have a vision, set small attainable goals and to maintain accountability while respecting yourself and others around you.
It isn’t the tangible items or the luxury brands you buy. It is the advantage of developing soft skills that make you a more productive person with substantial character traits like humility, authenticity, and reciprocity. When you set out to define your life with these values – your health becomes your wealth. You can go from surviving to thriving.
