Being exposed to gun violence, or living and working in a role where there is a high likelihood
that you might need to use a weapon, can present obvious difficulties for that individual. Those
who work in such capacities have a higher likelihood than the average citizen to develop
physical symptoms as a result of their profession, such as unfocused thoughts, avoidance in
social settings, shame, or guilt, or even desensitization as a primer for ones one violent patterns
in interpersonal settings.
As such, it can be difficult to manage a life where you have been exposed, or are currently
exposed to gun violence meanwhile it feels like everyone around you is blissfully unaware of
the burden that you carry. That’s where we come in at Sauna Therapy. We want to help guide
you through this period in your life filled with unease. At Sauna, we work with highly trained
and credentialed clinicians that can offer various forms of support to better equip prospective
clients with the tools they need to function at a high level, regardless of their background.
