Healing From Trauma

Healing from trauma and PTSD can often feel like an endless task filled with pain, flashbacks, emotional triggers and uncertainity. It is without a doubt very common for those who are experiencing trauma symptoms to feel as though they are stuck in the road. Dr. Joseph Murphy, in his book, The Power of the Subconscious Mind, reveals that true inner-healing and recovery happen when we align our thoughts with our subconscious belief systems.
Faith in Your Inner Healing Potential
Jospeh Murphy teaches us that our subconscious mind is like a fertile garden – whatever you plant there, grows. When trauma happens, we can re-evaluate our entire existence and presence in the world. We develop painful beliefs that get buried deep within our embedded psyche: feelings of unworthiness, fear, anger and grief. However, Dr. Murphy explores the exciting potential of the unconscious and reminds us that we are not prisoners to our past experiences or circumstances. We have the innate ability to re-program our subconscious and replant new seeds associated with joy, memory, creation and bliss.
In his book, Murphy speaks a lot about the essential mechanism of faith. Faith isn’t about having blind optimism; it’s about trusting a deeper intelligence within yourself. Just as your body knows how to heal a cut without your conscious involvement, your subconscious knows how to heal emotional wounds – when you allow it to.
