Behind the Therapist

Hey there, it’s nice to meet you - I'm Christina Gipson

If you’re seeking healing, exploring change, or trying to find more peace in how you relate to yourself and others, I’m here to walk beside you. My work is rooted in a relational approach. I value warmth, collaboration, and creating a safe space for my clients to navigate healing at their own pace.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, body image concerns, and disordered eating. I also enjoy helping clients who feel stuck in self-criticism, cycles of disconnection, or unsure of their path forward find greater clarity and compassion in how they relate to themselves or others.
I am working on my Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas A&M University. My clinical background includes work in higher levels of care for eating disorder treatment. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I further support client healing from trauma using somatic techniques and my ongoing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Ultimately, you don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for a change, I would be honored to support you. Together we can uncover the patterns that no longer serve you and move toward greater clarity, compassion, and alignment with what matters most to you.

Fun Fact: I am getting my pilates certification
