Renascentia Fashionista is a philosophy, art and spirituality blog focused on fostering critical self-awareness and mindfulness for its audience members. I share discourse on civil issues, psychological techniques for treatment, philosophy and art.
Renascentia is Latin meaning to be re-born. It is a metaphor for the contrite heart. To recycle, renew and regenerate the world while still expressing yourself. The butterfly, the emblem of Renascentia Fashionista, is a symbol for the individual who is constantly growing and evolving.
On Renascentia Fashionista you’ll find art, mindfulness techniques, science, poetry and daily guidance for women’s empowerment.
our motto: embrace who you are.

I use both scientifically proven methods and creative arts to help individuals process, regulate and stabilize emotional dysregulations. I am hoping to specialize in phobias, anxiety-related disorders, trauma, depression, women’s issues, and executive coaching.
My research is targeted at developing new treatment options that incorporate neuro-affective research, movement, the healing arts, and trauma.

Dance Movement Therapy
It doesn’t matter how you move – the point is that you’re moving and creating new experiences for your emotional brain to process trauma and anxiety. In order for individuals to fully process their experiences in a healthy manner, we must learn to integrate both implicit memories (sensory experiences, i.e., sounds, touch, taste, smell) and explicit memory (visual images and stored long-term memories of the trauma). In order to do this, neuroplasticity is a large factor in creating new memory networks. Dancing is a creative art form that allows us to experience trauma in a healthy way while restabilizing a core sense of self and reframing our experiences – shifting implicit (stuck trauma memories) into explicit (processed, tolerant memories).
It Doesn’t Matter How You Move – The Point Is You’re Moving
For more questions on dance movement therapy, I will be able to administer treatment in two years time.
